We carried out a mobile interior detail on this Lexus last year in Limerick city and noticed the paint would be a prime candidate for a paint correction detail. Matador red mica paint is stunning, it has a very deep rich gloss and high quality metallic. When the sun shines on it there are few paints that pop like this. After explaining to our customer what was hiding underneath the dull faded top coat we crossed our fingers and a couple of months ago we got a phone call.
A well maintained car mechanically but less so on the exterior. Tree sap, heavy contamination and road tar smothered the paintwork so to factory reset this we carried out our 10 step wash and clean of all exterior surfaces leaving us with a clean slate ready to be brought back to 2006. After a two stage paint correction using a rotary machine polisher with a medium and light cut polish we removed about 90% of the swirl marks which is well above what is needed for a daily driven car.

With the paint correction complete we needed to button up some small details. The exhaust tips we cleaned, detarred and hand polished, the tyres were dressed in a gloss tyre shine, the glass was cleaned inside and out and the stone chips and scratches were touched up with the correct matching OE Toyota paint (code 3R1) before hand waxing the paintwork in Swissvax best of show.
